Rustam Samedov
Vita
Rustam Samedov begann seine musikalische Ausbildung im Alter von sechs Jahren in Klavier und Gesang an der Chorschule der Staatlichen Akademischen Kapelle in St. Petersburg. Es folgte ein Studium an der Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, zunächst im Fach Chordirigat bei Jörg-Peter Weigle, dann Orchesterdirigat bei Hans-Dieter Baum. Bereits während des Studiums sammelte Rustam Samedov zahlreiche Erfahrungen als Dirigent und Chorleiter, u. a. durch die Arbeit mit verschiedenen Chören und Orchestern wie dem Konzerthausorchester Berlin, der Neubrandenburger Philharmonie, den Brandenburger Symphonikern und dem Kammerchor »ad libitum«.
Nach dem Studium war er mehrfach für Dirigate von Opern, Operetten und Sinfoniekonzerten engagiert und betreute Einstudierungen als Studienleiter und Chordirektor, unter anderem bei den Stuttgarter Philharmonikern, beim Philharmonischen Chor Berlin und beim Chor der Staatsoper im Schillertheater. Rustam Samedov war darüber hinaus als Musikalischer Leiter und Chorleiter an der Oper der Musikakademie Rheinsberg tätig, die ihm auch den »Förderpreis für außergewöhnliche musikalische Leistungen« verlieh. Von 2009 bis 2013 war er Erster Gastdirigent bei der Mitteldeutschen Kammerphilharmonie und ab Januar 2014 Chordirektor am Theater Vorpommern. 2015 übernahm er mehrere Einstudierungen für den Rundfunkchor Berlin. Von 2016 bis 2018 war er als Chordirektor an der Oper Halle engagiert. Mit Beginn der Spielzeit 2018.19 übernahm er die Funktion des Chordirektors der Oper Köln. Am 30. November 2020 erhielt der Chor der Oper Köln anlässlich der OPER! AWARDS die Auszeichnung als »Bester Chor«. In der Spielzeit 2022/23 leitete Samedov an der Bayerischen Staatsoper die Choreinstudierung bei der Neuproduktion Hamlet.
