45th Red Cross Gala

On 8 December 2024, the Opera Cologne will host the traditional Red Cross Benefit Matinee for the 45th time in aid of the Cologne Red Cross.

The Red Cross Benefit Matinee is a crowd-puller with its rousing programme and popular raffle. The two-hour concert is centred around Advent and Christmas. Members of the opera ensemble - from soloists to the choir - present a varied programme with musical highlights from opera productions and international Christmas carols. The Red Cross will also be presenting its work, including the rescue dog team and the ambulance service. The main attraction remains the raffle with prizes such as concert tickets and restaurant vouchers. All proceeds go to people in acute need.
