Ernesto Petti
Vita
Ernesto Petti was born in Salerno in 1986, began his vocal training with Otello Visconti and completed it at the Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento in Torre del Lago. He was also a member of the Centre de Perfeccionament at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia. He made his debut as Eagro in ‘Orfeo ed Euridice’ at the Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca, followed by Dancaïro in ‘Carmen’ at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, before making his debut as Giorgio Germont in ‘La Traviata’ in Lecce. His other engagements include the role of David in Mascagni's ‘L'amico Fritz’ in Piacenza, Giorgio Germont at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, at the Grand Théâtre de Avignon and on tour in Italy, Renato in ‘Un ballo in maschera’ at the NCPA in Beijing, in Piacenza, Ravenna and Ferrara. He has also appeared as Enrico in ‘Lucia di Lammermoor’ at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari and at the Basel Theatre, as Paolo in ‘Simon Boccanegra’ at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and as Carlo Gérard in ‘Andrea Chénier’ at the Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna. Ernesto Petti recently appeared as Sharpless (‘Madama Butterfly’) and Barnaba (‘La Gioconda’) at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, as Renato (‘Un ballo in maschera’) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, as Count Luna in ‘Il trovatore’ at the Stuttgart State Opera and in the title role of ‘Macbeth’ at the Verdi Festival Busseto/Parma 2024.
